Blue sky and warm breezes...a feast for the senses!
Dinner at Pitahayas (say pit-EYE-ahs) at the Sheraton Hacienda del Mar
Host-with-the-most David (say da-VEED) knows just where to take me after dinner..."una casa de karaoke y tequila"!
What's Up? We were...until 5 a.m.!
David and What's Up kj Miguel, whose voice evokes Mexico's beloved crooner Pedro Infante (1917-1957)
Miguel's beautiful baritone set the tone...
...a mariachi band magically materialized to spice things up...
...and of course I had to sing a few myself! (No, I did NOT do "La Bamba," even though I know it in Spanish.)
Our finale...a duet of "Summer Lovin'"
We left when the patron population switched from mostly locals singing in Spanish to an influx of young, drunk Americans.
What's up next? Salsa dancing at Mambocafé! (No pix of my attempts at the "beilar"...I left my camera in the car.)
