The mission of Minneapolis MOSAIC is to celebrate the richness and diversity of the arts and cultures of Minneapolis through a summer-long celebration beginning in June. The success of Minneapolis MOSAIC is realized by accomplishing four goals:
- Presenting events to showcase the rich diversity of music, dance, theater, the visual arts, film and the literary arts in Minneapolis.
- Promoting and increasing the visibility of the broad range of cultural and arts organizations and events in Minneapolis to both local and regional audiences.

Twisted tells the story of long-lost love, love long and hard, long hard and stiff, and how Auntie Em and Uncle Henry spent their time down in the storm cellar while Dorothy was in Oz. Trust me, it’s twisted.
Show dates: Aug. 2,3,4,8,9,10, 11. All performances at 11:30 PM at Mixed Blood Theatre. Enjoy Auntie Em’s crullers and a new musical guest artist each night.

Art With Heart, the annual art show and fundraiser for Community Action Council (CAC), features a variety of work from local and national artists, including photography, painting, pottery, watercolor, textile, glass, jewelry, bronze and more.
Artists participating in Art With Heart commit between 20% and 100% of their sales to CAC. In 2006 the event raised $23,000 in support of Community Action Council services. Burnsville’s Art & All That Jazz Festival happens simultaneously with the fundraiser.
New for 2007 is a special Art With Heart Preview Reception sponsored by Hollstadt & Associates on Saturday, August 18 from 11:00am to noon. Meet the artists and be the first view and purchase their work. Attendees receive two admission buttons to the Art & All That Jazz Festival ( value). Brunch is catered by Chateau Lamothe. The mission of Minneapolis MOSAIC is to celebrate the richness and diversity of the arts and cultures of Minneapolis through a summer-long celebration beginning in June. The success of Minneapolis MOSAIC is realized by accomplishing four goals:
- Presenting events to showcase the rich diversity of music, dance, theater, the visual arts, film and the literary arts in Minneapolis.
- Promoting and increasing the visibility of the broad range of cultural and arts organizations and events in Minneapolis to both local and regional audiences.
- Fostering opportunities to develop new relationships and build bridges between the wide variety of arts organizations and cultural groups in Minneapolis.
- Encouraging our diverse community to experience a wide spectrum of cultural and artistic activities in Minneapolis.
Minneapolis MOSAIC’s first four years were very successful. Each year more than 100 culturally diverse events have been a part of the celebrations in June, July and August.
